Weight Loss Management Program At Avosant Surgical Associates we concentrate on the whole person, healing from the inside out and outside in. This ideal is integrated into every aspect of our practice, we not only concentrate on the problem present, but also others that may be caustic or underlying factors. It is very common for us to have patients come in suffering from multiple conditions, one being obesity or over-weight. Being overweight or obese can take a huge toll on patients, not only on their daily activity and self-esteem, but it can also bring on a whole heap of medical conditions. Some of these conditions developed from being over-weight or obese can cause chronic pain in the patient from carrying around extra weight and require the care of pain management specialists. We have developed a specialized weight loss program that is easy and attainable for the patients, increasing their energy, self-esteem, and enthusiasm to get back on the right track. Our specialized weight loss program is called the 7/5 Diet. With this diet, patients learn how to make changes in their eating habits, gradually eliminating the ‘5 Enemies’ and fully incorporating the ‘7 Friends’ while also including exercise into their daily routine. In addition to proper eating and exercise, Avosant’s 7/5 Diet integrates the use of nutritional supplements that assist in increasing energy, decreasing hunger, and increasing the health of each patient. The 7/5 Diet has yielded excellent results with 20-50 pound weight loss in many of our patients.
